Our Legacy
MEK has been a leading provider of quality steel products since 1921. We are a customer-centric, full-service organization offering steel equipment and storage solutions supplemented with project management, engineering, design and installation services. Spread over approx 50,000 sq. ft. our manufacturing facility situated in the industrial area of Korangi is fully equipped with advanced machinery including CNC Benders and CNC cutters and an in-house powder coating plant.
Our Heritage
With over a hundred years of in-house handcrafted experience in building quality steel products MEK Steel has been in the steel industry now for over a 100 years. With expert craftsmanship, passed on from generation to generation, MEK now has diversified its product lines and introduced the use of state of the art machines to deliver top of the line, international standard products.

Timeline
- MEK started in 1921 with a handful of resources and capital in Karachi.
- MEK manufacturing plant at Lyari, Karachi. Captured in 1950.
- In the midst of 1960, the son of Mr. Mulla Ebrahimji Karimbhoy, Mr. Mohsin, continued the legacy of success to new peaks and added safe deposit lockers and strong room doors to their product line.
- MEK has always focused on technological advancements and producing quality products with maximum efficiency. High-end equipment was imported from various countries to manufacture products of high quality and set new standards of product quality in the Pakistani market.
- In 2017, a new manufacturing facility was launched in Korangi Creek Industrial Park.
- In 2022, the company invested in a good cause and got the UL certifications to meet international standards of safety to not only become the market leader in fire-rated doors but also to mitigate.
